A Sweet Message from Our Front Desk

Well, here we are, starting a new year with optimism and energy.

The New Year holiday typically reminds us to set goals and renew our mind frames so that life may be just a little easier for the months to come. Here at K Bella, we do our best to please our amazing guests and to make your beauty experience an enjoyable one.

We are constantly brainstorming ways to make your lives easier, which we succeeded greatly at doing over a year ago when we hired our outstanding receptionist, Michelle. If I were to describe our job at K Bella as a breakfast food, I would say it was like a scrambled egg before Michelle and a hard boiled egg after she was hired. I love working with her and I never forget how much easier the day runs with her around. I should say that Michelle loves our clientele, and she has therefore given me some helpful tips to share with you, to make your life easier when it comes to scheduling your appointments.

Being prepared when you call to schedule your appointment is beneficial to you and the receptionist.

If you have in mind specific days and times that will and won’t work, please share them with the receptionist so she may save you time on the phone. Also, if you have very specific requests on when you can be seen (Wednesday night at 5:36 on the second week of the month during high tides…you know who you are, wink), it is a wise idea to schedule ahead of time. That can either mean scheduling ahead when you are in for your current service or calling a couple of weeks ahead. There are times that we can possibly squeeze you in last minute, however, that may take away from another guest’s experience, or can set your beauty providers day behind. Don’t forget, we always have a cancellation list to fit you in if something opens up.

Next, let’s talk about having an understanding of what type of appointment you are booking, shall we? It is helpful to have an idea of what you are booking before you call. Do you need a tint or a partial highlight, a Malibu Treatment or a conditioning treatment, a myofascial release massage or a neuromuscular massage, a polish, manicure or shellac, etc? The reason these specifics are important is because booking times vary with each service. The better prepared the salon is, the smoother your appointment and the appointments around yours will go. Our receptionists are not trying to be a pest when they ask you 20 questions about your appointment, they are just trying to make everyone’s life easier by booking correctly. If you are somewhat knowledgeable about what you are scheduling, you can shorten your time on the phone. When in doubt ask your beauty expert what type of appointment you should be booking for.

The moral of the story is, between you the client, and the staff here at K Bella, we can make some aspects of the New Year a bit easier. As for the rest, buy fresh food when you can, bad habits CAN be beaten, be kind to everyone, work on your road rage, recycle more, organize one room at a time, and take time to smell the roses.

Happy New Year!
